KIAMS sets-up a Centre for Creativity & Innovation in collaboration with InnovatioNext – committed to training the next generation of Creative Thinkers and Innovators
Pune, 15th June, 2015:
Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies (KIAMS), in collaboration with InnovatioNext, a leading consulting firm in the field of breakthrough innovations, has set up a world-class ‘Centre for Creativity & Innovation’. The Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) has approved the innovation framework deployed at the Centre.
While the importance of creativity as a business competency is now understood, there remains a great deficit of creative talent in the industry. The newly created centre will introduce a specially designed program that will aim to address this deficit and develop the next generation of creative and innovative leaders.
The centre has been set up in collaboration with InnovatioNext, a leading innovation consulting firm which has worked with several Fortune 500 companies in training senior and middle management in a culture of Creativity and Innovation. Mr. Pravin Rajpal, Founder, InnovatioNext, was recently ranked Number 1 on the list of Most Influential Global Indian Thought Leaders by Indian Speakers Bureau and selected as one of the top 30 influential leaders in India by Times of India in the LEAD India campaign.
At the Centre for Creativity & Innovation, KIAMS students will:
- Understand cutting-edge techniques to resolve complex business challenges with original and innovative ideas
- Learn dynamic thinking skills for the VUCA world, scientific principles of creative thinking with Innovation Gold Mine and more
- Get access to ready to use mind maps for developing next generation business practices
- Learn to use 3D Idea generators to come up with breakthrough solutions and position themselves as innovative leaders of tomorrow.
Students will also have access to India specific case-studies, where they will brainstorm on the challenges faced by these companies and learn the techniques needed to generate path-breaking business ideas for these organizations. Students will also undertake projects with 50 Fortune 500 companies to put into practice the knowledge they have gained. This will also improve their placements prospects considerably.
Knowledge sharing will also happen through access to apps so that students can work on their smartphones to generate new product ideas, take-up industry challenges from Fortune 500 companies and use mind-mapping tools.
Dr. C.N. Narayana, Director, KIAMS states that “KIAMS has always believed in creating managers who are in keeping with the changing times. The centre not only promotes creative ideas in a stunning ambience, but strives to transform young minds into innovative business leaders who can go on to make a difference. Students will get an opportunity to solve problems for Fortune 500 companies.”
Thus, the program promises to be a comprehensive one for future leaders who can convert challenges into opportunities and constraints into advantages.
